"A ROOM WITH A VIEW": SPRING GETAWAY TO UMBRIA.
I sometimes travel for work, and since I have the chance of sharing an activity with my life partner, this results in an even more pleasant experience. It was the case with our last trip to Umbria, Italy.

We had a two-days' meeting in the area of Perugia, for which we chose a kind of accommodation that was not only near the meeting headquarters but also suitable to spend in relax our time free from business.
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful, even during our hectic days in San martino in Campo. I hope that we'll soon try to find a weekend for a quick getaway to this quiet place, surrounded by private woods and beautiful landscaped gardens, to disconnect and escape form the craziness without spending too much time on actual travel, if we simply don't have the time to take a full blown vacation. and this place is certainly perfect to maximise the benefits of a mini-getaway and make it as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Choosing the right hotel is really important, so we tend to look not only at the elegance and comfort of the accommodation, but also at the surrounding area as well. This hotel is perfect also form this pint of view. Just outside Perugia, in the little town of San Martino in Campo, in the very heart of Umbria, reachable by an easy access from the highway, its position is certainly strategic to visit all the main cities of the area. The prestigious historic residence of Alla Posta dei Donini offers exclusive comfort and services of exquisite quality. Particularly, we appreciated the elegant deluxe room with marble bathroom, antique furnishings and a wonderful view on the park, the quietness of the place, the rich and delicious breakfasts in the conservatory, the services of the recently restyled Spa Bio Wellness and Historical Park 1579, the excellent Restaurant Pantagruel, where to taste homemade local dishes. The famous Italian hospitality is certainly an added value to the charm of the place , thanks to the kindness of the owner, an obliging lady who provided us with a knowledgeable guided tour of the XVIIIth century building and its artistic treasures, the former summer residence of noble Donini family featuring original paintings and frescoes by Perugian artists.

THE SILK SQUARE BY LOUIS VUITTON:
THE ULTIMATE ACCESSORY OF THE SEASON

It’s notorious that there’s no such a chic accessory as a designer's scarf: it’s easy to wear and elevates even the most basic outfit from plain to luxury-style. There’s also a practical side of wearing it in Spring, that is to avoid getting sore throat in such unpredictable weather as we’re experiencing in this April. Last Sunday, while I was examining my seasonal outfits in search of new combinations to cheer up the imminent starting of a new working week, I proudly examined my small collection of Louis Vuitton scarves. And I invariably find them so stylish that I decided to share this impression with you in this post. So if you’re looking to splurge on a new designer’s square, here is my collection and hopefully some source of inspiration.
- LV Summer trunk silk squares: they’re inspired by LV 's travel heritage and printed with a trompe-l'oeil trunk in the iconic canvas, complete with either colourful or more neutral details such as a LV luggage label, brass hinges and corners, or leather straps, metal chains and padlocks on a background of the iconic Monogram pattern.
- LV patterned / multicolour Monogram squares: they’re very feminine pieces available in summery colours and still featuring an all-over Multicolour Monogram or pastel LV pattern twisted with a flowery / geometric background and referencing the Maison's heritage with its famous emblem.
The LV world pastel squares: the last but not the least piece of my collection is a limited-edition iconic piece, that I keep it more as a decorative accessory in my closet rather than wear it. This ultra-chic scarf is 100% silk as the other models and features a world map incorporating miniature pastel monograms.
If you, like me, are huge fans of the French brand, you’ll certainly find that all these squares are the finishing touch for ultra-chic sophistication, with a modern take on the brand's heritage, and of course, also fashion accessories made with outstanding craftsmanship and high quality materials.

FROM THE OFFICE TO THE HAPPY HOUR: 4 TRENDY OUTFITS WE LOVE FOR SPRING.

The forecast for next week has declared that finally we're going to pass all the check marks that make it "almost" spring - it's April, and even if the weather is still unpredictable, temperatures are going to rise, and we're ready to shed those wool layers for linen and trade our head-to-toe dark hues for groundbreaking colours and florals.

So I chose four cool season basics which marry luxewear and versatility with pretty spring style and comfort, and will be able to take you through your busy weekdays, while letting you feel in a totally weekend mood.

1) The statement floral dress: in classic bright colours, drapey in all the right places, it’s Spring in a dress, but at the same time elegant and trendy, especially if matched with a bright leather jacket. We can choose both midi or regular length, they will be both be cool in a different way.

2) The jumpsuit: a day-to-night piece you need for the season, an oh-so-chic-on-the-go piece, which may have started as a trend in the past seasons, but which I think is here to stay. This one-step outfit is super versatile, since it is elegant and casual at the same time, making it a perfect alternative to dresses and skirts. Leather block heel sandals or shoes will add the perfect amount of comfort and lift so we can strut like you mean it, whether we’re running errands or grabbing dinner with friends.

3) The midi lurex skirt/dress: whether it's for the office, for a lunchtime stroll, for a coffee date with a friend, or for an evening out, this skirt, better if chosen in earthy hues and matched with a short leather jacket, will carry us through the spring season in freshness and chic. Keeping our shoe flat and bag neutral will allow us to play up the boldness with the outfit.

4) Wide-leg cropped trousers: we plan living in this outfit all season long, and which scream Parisian springtime fashion, if paired with a classic shirt or a slim ruffled sweater and block heel sandals too!

UPDATE YOUR HOME WITH THIS NEW PASTEL COLOUR, AND YOU'RE IMMEDIATELY READY FOR SPRING.

Pastels inspiring are a little like florals - yes, they can seem a touch obvious, but we love them anyway. This spring, the shade of the season is lavender. Reminiscent of Provence summertime, this feminine hue makes a statement on its own, if added just in little details to your home, and plays nice with a variety of other colours.
Even better, lavender has soothing, relaxing qualities. Ready to add some of this pretty pastel shade into your life? If so, I’ve assembled some of my favourite lavender home pieces. What do you think about it?
- Lavender wall painting
- Lavender bathroom inspiration
- Lavender bedlinen
- Lavender sofas, cushions and curtains
- Lavender table-setting
- Lavender decorative objects and throws
- Lavender garden furniture
Did you notice that lavender is also the dominant colour in my blog pages?
XoXo! 👄
