"A ROOM WITH A VIEW": SPRING GETAWAY TO UMBRIA.
I sometimes travel for work, and since I have the chance of sharing an activity with my life partner, this results in an even more pleasant experience. It was the case with our last trip to Umbria, Italy.

We had a two-days' meeting in the area of Perugia, for which we chose a kind of accommodation that was not only near the meeting headquarters but also suitable to spend in relax our time free from business.
Our stay at the hotel was wonderful, even during our hectic days in San martino in Campo. I hope that we'll soon try to find a weekend for a quick getaway to this quiet place, surrounded by private woods and beautiful landscaped gardens, to disconnect and escape form the craziness without spending too much time on actual travel, if we simply don't have the time to take a full blown vacation. and this place is certainly perfect to maximise the benefits of a mini-getaway and make it as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. Choosing the right hotel is really important, so we tend to look not only at the elegance and comfort of the accommodation, but also at the surrounding area as well. This hotel is perfect also form this pint of view. Just outside Perugia, in the little town of San Martino in Campo, in the very heart of Umbria, reachable by an easy access from the highway, its position is certainly strategic to visit all the main cities of the area. The prestigious historic residence of Alla Posta dei Donini offers exclusive comfort and services of exquisite quality. Particularly, we appreciated the elegant deluxe room with marble bathroom, antique furnishings and a wonderful view on the park, the quietness of the place, the rich and delicious breakfasts in the conservatory, the services of the recently restyled Spa Bio Wellness and Historical Park 1579, the excellent Restaurant Pantagruel, where to taste homemade local dishes. The famous Italian hospitality is certainly an added value to the charm of the place , thanks to the kindness of the owner, an obliging lady who provided us with a knowledgeable guided tour of the XVIIIth century building and its artistic treasures, the former summer residence of noble Donini family featuring original paintings and frescoes by Perugian artists.
